The fishing island of Ryndair is no stranger to lush greenery, tall cliffs, and blue-roofed architecture. The island thrives with its main economy revolving around trading and capturing beasts of the sea. Legend has it that the island was cursed by the native Whale Spirit which made the surrounding waters dangerously rocky and difficult to navigate. However, some call it a blessing because the rough waters cause rare beasts to lurk nearby. These beasts, although they are an everyday ordeal for the people of Ryndair, fetch high prices when trading with outlying islands. Ryndair is not only home to these beasts, but also home to the Ryne clan who was born and raised on the island since the beginning of time. The Ryne clan is a tightly bonded group that makes up nearly 100% of the island’s population. The clan’s leader is given the title Guardian and is usually passed down through bloodlines. The Guardian’s job is to not only guide and protect the people of the island but to control and participate in the Beast Hunters. The Beast Hunters is a group made up of young adults who are trained to fight and capture the beasts of the sea. They maintain peace of the island by eliminating nearby threats and safely delivering said beasts to the dock traders. The new Guardian is a 17 y/o boy named Keon whose father, the previous leader, died in a tragic hunting accident. Although his journey as the lead Beast Hunter started as a revenge story, he changed course and realized that there is a greater danger threatening the lives of his clan. With his new Beast Hunter friends 18 y/o Meiko (f) and 19 y/o Tangi (m), they begin the hunt of a lifetime.
